Summary:
Shyft Global provided design support and led the development of Thread’s Magnetic Wallet. The goal was to create a MagSafe-compatible wallet that seamlessly fit into Thread’s family of wallets and accessories. We based the profile on Thread’s Vertical Wallet and adapted it for magnetic functionality, working collaboratively with Thread’s internal design team to refine both the aesthetic and performance.

The biggest hurdle was developing a MagSafe-compatible magnet configuration that was both strong and cost-effective. By adding a protective inner layer, the wallet was able to use magnets stronger than those found in leading wallets on the market, while maintaining full MagSafe compatibility.
